- IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW, THIS IS THE TOP OF THE FILE! (HE, HE, AM I FUNNY ??!!)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------
- No. STOP. Let's get serious!! You just ran into something strange.
- This is document file for DClock. It is short from my new program: Digital
- Clock V2.0. What is it? It is just a clock window for WorkBench screen. It
- is, unlike other digital clocks I saw before, window which can be resized
- to any WB size you want.
-
- It is fully written in Aztec C Version 5.0. It is really something
- what am I proud of. It took me a long time before I put the last line into
- the source code. I know that it isn't prefect (yet!), but I like it very
- very much :-).
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------
- To start DClock from the CLI, simply type
-
- "DCLOCK"
-
- into CLI window (don't forget to press <CR>!!). But if you start
- it with:
-
- "RUN DCLOCK" (or "RUNBACK DCLOCK or similar)
-
- and you will be able to continue your work having DCLOCK on the
- screen.
-
- If you want to start DClock from WorkBench, just click on its icon
- and DClock will run there.
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------
- To quit DClock, click on its CLOSE icon. You can, also, press the
- <ESC> key when the DClock window is activated. In the menu you'll find
- only a few infos.
-
- DANGER: THERE IS ONE HIDDEN GADGET. You are, ofcource, able to
- change the size of DClock window. Just click to the right-down corner of
- window (there is this hidden gadget) and change it. Don't worry because
- that gadget isn't shown - it's still there.
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Program history:
- ----------------
- Version 1.0:
- ------------
- The main routine DrawNumber() was very bad. As I change the size
- of window it didn't take the right relative positions to display a digit.
- So, I completely rewrote this routine. And version 1.0 became:
-
- Version 2.0:
- ------------
- Crazy routine is now removed and replaced with a new one. And it
- deserves jumping for 1. Also, I changed about window and the colours so it
- now looks much more better. Rewriten docs, too.
-
- Future adds:
- ------------
- * reading the time direct from the hardware, in cases you didn't run the
- program SetClock
- * iconizing, or better, hidding the clock, so that it could apper with
- some conbination of keys
- * filled digits
- * a great option: sprite digi clock
- * your suggestions
